Marvel is better than DC.
That’s it. That’s the tweet.
Today I will give you three reasons why marvel is better than DC
1. “Civil War”
2. Emotion
3. Characters
THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!!!!
In both universes they had a civil war between their two biggest characters, Captain America and Iron Man in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and Superman and Batman in the DC universe. MCU is Ultimate better because in the movie Batman VS Superman. They kill off superman.
Does that make sense to you?
Superman is an alien from a different planet that can fly and is super strong. What is Batman?
A dude that’s obsessed with bats. The only thing he has going him is his money.
Who would win in a fight? A dude who is super strong AND can fly or a dude who is super rich and obsessed with bats?
That makes no sense but I do understand that they needed Superman to die because bat man would have been terminated and then they would need to reboot Batman but that’s only if Superman were to kill him. They should have not made any of them die or “appear dead” if you’re going to kill your strongest character. WHO DOES THAT.
“Here’s our most famous character that we made a whole lot of money from because he’s kinda hot... let’s kill him and make the people made because he doesn’t wanna kill Batman.” I’m really trying to figure out what goes through the writer’s mind when they were writing the the script.
Throughout the MCU franchise they show emotion. Whether it’s through killing the best looking characters or making us choose between Captain America or Iron Man they rip us apart and put us back together with laughter and TEAR US APART AGAIN. But we forgive them because they give us compelling movies that tell brilliant stories.
The characters in the MCU are so much more relatable. I’m only going to take two characters for example. They both share the same theme. In life, you will fall, so when you do get up and try again.
Captain America shows this in his movies. In all two of his movies he maintains the same theme by saying, “I can do this all day.” Once when he was getting beat in the ally in Captain America the first avenger and again when he was fighting Tony Stark in Captain America Civil War.
In Captain America: Winter Soldier, Bucky was under Hydra’s control and Bucky was attacking everyone even his best friend, Captain Steve Rogers. So while Captain America was fighting him. Captain America stopped and said he’s not going to fight him anymore. Which is so nice of him even though Bucky was his antagonist. He wouldn’t fight his best friend. We all need a Captain America in our lives.
Another example is Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel is a good example of perseverance. There is a scene in the movie where she is getting up and breaks free from the Kree’s bondage. That scene shows her past self getting up every time she fell down.
I’m pretty sure it symbolizes feminism but like I’m not a feminist so I wouldn’t know. But that’s cool because it released on the first Friday of March is International Women’s day. (Great job planning that Marvel)
Even though Marvel messes with the audience’s emotions, and makes us want to cry at the end of the movies. It takes us new places, to new exciting worlds we will never experience in our life time. Marvel gives us joy along with inspirational storylines and cute actors. That is why Marvel is better than DC.
